Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa is inspired by a Malaysian traditional village concept. The resort has 30 lush acres is set along a kilometre stretch of white sandy beaches.
Our Opinion
This is a lovely resort and a popular choice for Langkawi. The gardens are beautiful and the beach is lovely. All rooms are nice and there is relatively little price different between the first 4 room categories.
Location
The resort is approximately 10 minutes from the airport on the south coast of Langkawi.
Accommodation
Rooms feature a private veranda, wardrobe area and bathroom. Amenities include toiletries, air conditioning, 24-hour room service, IDD telephone, tea/coffee making facilities, fruit basket, colour TV, in-room safe, weighing scale, mini-bar, iron and iron board, complimentary drinking water, electric mosquito repellent, hairdryer and kimono. A choice of either king or twin beds is available.
Garden Terrace 46sqm – are located in single and double-storey wooden chalets featuring sloping roofs, exposed roof tiles and trusses, scattered across landscaped gardens alongside sandy beaches.
Deluxe Lakefront – as Garden Terrace but feature lake front views.
Deluxe Pool Terrace – as Garden Terrace but feature pool views

Meritus Club Rooms – privacy, comfort and also special services at the resort like in-room registration and access to the exclusive Meritus Club Lounge. Additional benefits include buffet breakfast as well as pre-dinner cocktails at the Club Lounge, all complimentary for members only.
Penangi Junioir Club Suites – Located in the proximity of the beach and swimming pools, the Pelangi Suites provide charming sea and pool views. With an area of 73.4 square metres and equipped with full 5-star amenities, Pelangi Suites are available in both single and double storey chalets, comprising the intimate-design of one bedroom and studio style.
Meritus Club Lounge Information – Set amidst swaying palms with a scenic view of the sea, this exclusive club offers luxurious comfort such as a cosy bar and lounge, reading room and games room. VCD/DVD is provided complimentary upon request based on first come first serve.
Complimentary buffet breakfast as well as sunset cocktails from 5pm to 7pm daily for members.

Niyom Thai Restaurant – The aroma of tantalising Thai dishes will tease and tempt your palate. A wide selection of authentic Thai dishes from savoury appetisers to fresh seafood such as lobster, tiger prawns and more.
The Boat House BBQ Restaurant and Pub – Located by the palm fringed beachfront with a panoramic view of neighbouring islands, the restaurant provides a refreshing alternative venue for dinner.
Cenang Beach Bar – Nearby the BBQ restaurant is the Cenang Beach Bar serving cold beers and refreshing cocktails over a mesmerising sunset.
Horizon and Cascade Pool Bars – Two open-air free form swimming pools with swim-up island bars offer a mouth-watering range of light snacks, chef’s specialty of the day, and thirst quenchers.
Pelangi Lounge – the lobby lounge where musicians serenade the evening tropics with renditions of current and evergreen hits.
