Our Opinion
Lux Grand Gaube is a superb 5-star resort edging into luxury territory but without the huge price tag. So, while it is incredibly good value, you can indulge in fine dining and soak up the luxurious surroundings. It also offers both Half Board and All Inclusive so it is flexible to your needs.

Lux Grand Gaube takes its name from the local fishing village Grand-Gaube, located on the North coast of Mauritius
Accommodation
Inspired by authentic island living, each of the six room types has been designed to reflect the vibrant energy and lively ambience of Mauritius. Colourful decor, thoughtful design and careful positioning amongst the island’s surrounds ensure a harmonious ambience.
Room types:
Superior Room (43sqm) – the stylishly comfortable Superior Room have chic polished decor, complemented with warm wooden fittings and bright accents of ochre and beach sand.
Ocean Superior (43sqm) – enjoy beautiful views of the northern islands in this tranquil room inspired by the ocean, with decor that features a gleaming water sculpture with light sandy accents and soothing blue tones.
Deluxe Rooms (52sqm) – This sun-dappled room is inspired by the ocean and offers spacious and breezy rooms for the ultimate in tranquillity and comfort.
Junior Suite (70sqm) – a generously appointed lounge decorated in light shades of sand and ochre leads onto a private terrace or balcony. Luxuriate in comfort on your king-size bed or take an invigorating shower in your spacious bathroom with double basins, walk-in shower, bath whirlpool, separate toilet and dressing room.
Senior Suites (85sqm) – Vibrant red and orange hues add to the lively ambience of this spacious suite. Each suite also has its own private garden and overlooks the sparkling lagoon beyond. From the sitting area, stairs lead up to the bedroom with its magnificent double bed. Once you’ve settled in, why not take your whirlpool bath for a spin?
LUX Villa (288sqm) – The stylish Villa offers unparalleled views over the shimmering blue lagoon and its own private beach. Lounge in the two spacious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms or take a dip in the swimming pool and whirlpool amongst the private landscaped gardens. There’s even a barbecue area and gazebo for romantic outdoor dining, along with a personal butler to see to your every need.
Restaurants and Bars
The Kitchen – Set against a breath-taking lagoon backdrop, The Kitchen is LUX* Grand Gaube’s main gastronomic attraction, offering everything from fresh, healthy and bountiful breakfast buffets to lively themed evenings and flavourful Chef’s Specials throughout the week.
The Beach – Kick back with some relaxed Mediterranean cuisine as you gaze out over the the lagoon and the many beautiful islands scattered like jewels across the Northern coastline.
Abalone – located right on the beach, facing the blue lagoon, Abalone entices with a blazing barbecue set up on the sand. Enjoy a tasty array of light dishes in a laid back island environment for lunch. When the stars come out, so does Abalone’s incredible selection of fresh seafood platters. Create your own or get some advice from the Chef for a meal you won’t soon forget.
Banyan – The Island Kitchen (12:30pm to 3pm)
Sheltered under the graceful boughs of one of the islands’ oldest banyan trees, Banyan – The Island Kitchen invites you to sample our take on traditional Mauritian street food. All the classic flavours, colours, tools and techniques have been retained to bring you an authentic taste of island living.
The Bar – Located right next to the main swimming pool, The Bar is a lively hang out for guests to quench their thirst throughout the day while lounging on comfortable sofas and bar stools facing the lagoon. Enjoy a light lunch or a refreshing tropical cocktail. At night, The Bar offers a simple yet tasty menu with an extensive range of drinks, along with live music and entertainment.
Cafe Lux – nothing beats a really great cup of coffee. That’s why at LUX they only serve our very own delicious Island Blend of certified green organic beans. Roasted on the island and prepared for you with passion by our trained baristas, every cup of coffee served at our stylish Cafe LUX is one to savour.
