Full Itinerary
Day 1
Kenya Airways overnight flight from Heathrow to Nairobi.
Day 2
On arrival the following morning depart south west straight for Amboseli National Park at the foot of snowcapped Mount Kilimanjaro, arriving at the Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge at lunch time. After refuelling and refreshing, enjoy an afternoon game drive in Amboseli National Park, known for its unrivalled views of ‘Kili,’ (weather permitting) and also renowned for the local elephant population. There are over 1000 elephants in the park eco system, including some of the largest in Africa. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3
Morning and afternoon game drives in Amboseli hopefully with the chance to see some of the big cats, and plenty of time in the lodge to relax by the pool, enjoy one of the resident naturalist’s talks, or to simply soak up the sights and sounds of Africa.
Day 4
One last early morning game drive in Amboseli, before breakfast and driving south-east to Tsavo West National Park. Tracking game as you go, pass by the magnificent Shetani Lava Flows with a brief photo stop, then continue to Kilaguni Serena Lodge for lunch. Located on a ridge commanding sweeping views of the Chyulu Hills, Kilaguni was the first safari lodge to be built in a national park and dates back to 1962. It features a fabulous terrace from which you can witness spectacular African sunsets and a waterhole that offers some of the finest lodge based game viewing in Kenya. Take an afternoon game drive in the huge park and return for dinner and overnight.
Day 5
Enjoy three game drives in the historical Tsavo West National Park famed for its red elephants, so coloured by the soil they cover themselves in! One of today’s drives will also include a visit to the beautiful Mzima Springs – a vibrant oasis of natural springs where crystal clear pools provide an open area for resident hippo and are an important part of the eco system. Overnight at Kilaguni.
Day 6
Depart Tsavo this morning for Mombasa and your Kenya Airways overnight flight to Heathrow via Nairobi, or you may choose to extend your stay on the white sands of Kenya’s coast for a relaxing end to your safari.

After your Big 5 Safari add on a relaxing beach stay on one of Kenya’s coastal resorts.
