This is a wonderful resort and gets consistently excellent reviews from our clients. It is never the cheapest hotel but it is always great value for money and comes highly recommended.
Location
This eco-friendly island resort offers 30 spectacular beachfront acres and lies adjacent to a National Park. Located along Antigua’s northeast coast, 30 minutes from both St Johns and the airport.
Accommodation
All rooms are junior suites with 700 square feet and classic Caribbean-style architecture and decor, all with private verandahs offering beautiful water views through sliding-glass doors. Each has the look and feeling of a cozy Caribbean cottage, with air conditioning, flat-screen, satellite TV, mini-bar & coffee/tea making facilities.
Hillside Junior Suite – Large rooms set on the hillside with garden and partial seaviews.
Waterview Suites – Similar to Hillside Junior Suites, but closer to the water with seaviews.
Waterfront Suites – All with private verandahs offering beautiful ocean views or crystal clear Dian Bay, through sliding-glass doors. A combined living and sleeping area accommodates up to four guests, with a king-size bed and queen sleeper sofa.
Restaurants & Bars
The Verandah offers a range of dining experiences in three exciting restaurants, operated under the watchful eye of Executive Chef Ronaldo Collantes, a native of the Philippines. All three restaurants are centered in an expansive, centrally located activities complex on The Common, overlooking the pool and manicured grounds.
SeaBreeze, the resorts main restaurant, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Seabreeze will be offering 5 nights of a la cart dining and 2 Caribbean themed buffet evenings.
Nicoles – A fine-dining restaurant and offers a blend of stylishly presented, Caribbean-inflected cuisine. (There is an approx $25 surcharge per person).
The Buccaneer – Serves lighter, family-friendly fare, such as pastas, pizza and burgers, as well as afternoon tea.
Tiki Bar – A funky little shack just off the main lobby building.
Poolside Bar – Outfitted in natural stone, in keeping with the surroundings. By night, lively international-style music and entertainment will keep the fun flowing and your toes tapping after dark.
Main Lounge – Also overlooks the pool and winding, limestone-walled pathways of the Common.
Beach Bar and Grill – Offering killer views of the entire cove, light lunch, snacks, beer and late snacks and beverages.
Leisure & Sports Facilities
The Verandah Resort & Spa caters to all ages. Verandah lies adjacent to a National Park and its grounds incorporate marked nature trails, two soft white-sand beaches and tranquil waters on a protected cove-like bay just perfect for swimming or snorkelling in its crystal-clear waters. The resorts expansive, shimmering free-form pool is the islands largest, an excellent spot for lounging in the sun or enjoying a cooling dip.
The Verandah offers non-motorized water sports including:
