The Baros Island Resort is located in the North Male Atoll in the Maldives approximately 25 minutes speedboat ride from the airport.

Baros Maldives offers 75 exquisite villas each with air conditioning and ceiling fans, a DVD/CD Player/Flat-screen TV/iPod docking station, a King-size bed, an open bathroom with indoor shower & bathtub & outdoor shower in private garden, an Espresso machine & tea/coffee facilities and a Mini-bar.

Room types: Deluxe Villas (89 sqm) – have been created with flawless style that exudes sheer sophistication. Each spacious, teak-floored bedroom features a large sofa and a King-size bed, as well as a veranda. The bathroom, with a stand-alone tub, extends into a sandstone-walled flower garden that includes an indulgent waterfall shower.

Baros Villa (103 sqm) – Situated on a blissfully sun-blessed beach, each Baros Villa is discreetly secluded by tropical vegetation, with a wooden deck perfect for lounging just a pace or two from the lagoon. The ingeniously designed interior has a King-size bed embraced by curtains and louvered blinds on either side to let in sunlight, as well as an exotic bathroom with a contemporary bathtub and a romantic rain shower in a secret garden.

Water Villas (92 sqm) – The Water Villas at Baros are placed along a crescent-shaped boardwalk curving over the lagoon just seconds from the beach. Each Baros Water Villas is intimately exclusive, with a private deck for sunbathing and wooden steps for taking a dip into the lagoon. These Water Villas inspire romance: an exquisitely furnished interior includes a King-size bed draped in silk and cotton, a sumptuous bathroom poised over the lagoon, and an enviable ambience of the sublime.

Baros Pool Villa (134 sqm) – Each Villa stands alone in a secluded tropical glade with a private swimming pool of pure translucence, just a few steps away from the turquoise lagoon lazily lapping against the shore. The four-poster bed sitting deep within the Villa looks out over the veranda and sundeck to the pool. There is also a daybed in the shade on the veranda and a table on the wooden deck for in-Villa dining under the stars. Natural light floods the Villa’s beautiful interior, and the gorgeously contemporary bathroom has a discreet outdoor garden rain shower. The television is concealed in an ottoman, wine is in the chiller, and a dedicated resort host can be summoned at any time.

Baros Residence (268 sqm) – Surrounded by green foliage and bird-of-paradise blossoms, here hides an intimate place to stay, to share secrets, and to relax. Retreat to your private pool, and swim amidst the ferns and blooms of a tropical garden. Discover a daybed on the sundeck, private spa massages in the comfort of your bedroom, an extravagant bathroom and a linen-canopied bed all in rooms of granite, tropical timbers and bas-relief. To complete the experience, a butler is on call to assure warm and willing service whenever required in this romantic hideaway.

Lime Restaurant – Thatched, arched and open-sided pavilions by the water for the heart and soul of good dining. Breakfast selections to enhance your wellbeing are tastefully displayed. All-day dining from an a la carte menu of enticing dishes from around the world

Cayenne Grill – Alfresco dining in thatched gazebos above the lagoon. Specializing in fresh seafood, fish, meat and vegetarian dishes served with sauces of distinction and accompanied by a healthy selection of salads and irresistible desserts. A favourite retreat for a leisurely meal infused with the flavours of the tropics. Added attractions are the Teppanyaki grill station and, for a light lunch, the dedicated Satay Bar.

The Lighthouse – Savour the cuisine gourmets relish, whether from the degustation menus including several pairing wines, or the classic creations enhanced with a touch of culinary genius by our Executive Chef. With service to match the superb cuisine and an atmosphere of relaxed refinement, the overwater Lighthouse is the island’s highlight.

Sandbank Dinner – Fifteen minutes due west by launch from the shores of Baros lies one of many Maldivian thilas which translates into English as Sandbank.

Our Sandbank provides a unique natural experience to enhance your sojourn within this glorious Archipelago. Undoubtedly it is the ultimate in romance.

We offer a range of private dining experiences, however if you wish to create your own experience please do not hesitate to mention it to one of our team members. Sunrise to sunset and beyond is not above the realms of possibility.

The Lighthouse Lounge – The peak of perfection with panoramic views, the upstairs lounge of The Lighthouse with its sundowner gallery is a soothing setting for sipping champagne or martinis as the sun slips below the cloudless horizon.

Satay Bar – Adjacent to The Sails Bar & Palm Garden, and located by the water at The Cayenne Grill is our contemporarily designed Satay Bar.
