Denis Private Island

Denis Island is also home to some rare and endemic species such as the giant tortoise and magpie robin. With on-going conservation projects, parts of the island are being restored to their pre-discovery state. The island also has its own farm, cultivating most of its own produce from milk and eggs to oils and herbs.There are only 25 cottages on Denis Island which ensures a private and intimate experience. There are a host of land and water activities including some of the best scuba diving and deep sea fishing in the Seychelles.

This is very much similar to a Maldives experience so those familiar with the Maldives will feel totalling at home on the island. Although this island is larger than many in the Maldives. While this may have a humble 4-star rating be assured that this is a very exclusive place with relatively few on the island.

Denis Island is a privately owned coral island of 375 acres situated on the north-easterly edge of the Seychelles bank. Transfer is 95kms from Mahe and is 30min by light aircraft

Note the luggage allowance on the transfer is limited to 15kgs in a soft bag

The 25 cottages and villas on Denis Island are situated on either side of the main house amidst casuarina and coconut trees, each with a private beachfront. All cottages and villas include: sun loungers and chairs, iPod docking station, IDD telephone, tea / coffee making facilities, mini fridge, iron / ironing board, air conditioning, ceiling fan, dressing table, hair dryer and amenity kit. The open bathrooms feature: private courtyard, ceiling fan, outside shower, bath, W.C, bidet, double vanity and outside shower.

Beach Cottage (90sqm) – each has a Sitting area, writing desk and wine chiller plus a

and separate entrance to the open air bathroom and outside shower. Each has a sea facing veranda with sunlounges and a private beachfront.

Deluxe Beach Cottage (130sqm) – each has an extended sea facing private deck with sala and day bed. They also feature a private beachfront with sun loungers. Inside there is a sitting area, writing desk and wine chiller.

Beachfront Spa Cottage (150sqm) – each has their own private courtyard and garden which features a massage / wellness pavilion and an extended sea facing private deck with Sala and day bed. Inside there is a sitting area and wine chiller.

Family Villa (169sqm) – there is only one so book early! This two bedroom villa with its wide beachfront area is perfect for families. The large sea facing deck is ideal for in-villa dining plus beachfront sun loungers and chairs. There is a separate bedroom with king-size bed, a furnished lounge with 2 permanent twin beds.

Beach Villa (325sqm) – This luxury private beachfront villa has a large outdoor living and relaxation area. You can relax as it has its own private plunge pool, sala and day bed.

Plus there is an extended sea facing private deck, a dining and barbeque area.

The restaurant at Denis Island is situated in the main building which is right on the beachfront. Here you will also find the bar and the lounge area which is split on two levels.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served here with the option of eating al fresco on the terrace. Dinner is usually a 5 course meal unless interrupted by themed evening which can vary from Creole to Japanese evenings. Fresh locally produced products from Denis Islands farm and freshly caught seafood make for an exquisite meal.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included and taken in the restaurant. Beverages are served in the hotel area, which includes the main building, lounge and pool deck, but are not included in the full board package. Cakes and cookies served at the bar from 4pm to 5pm.
