Makunudu
Makunudu Island Resort is set on a tiny island with 36 traditional wooden beachfront bungalows set amongst unspoilt surroundings.
It is a simple resort with great watersports and snorkelling, a restaurant and a bar. With relatively few guests on the island, this is a great retreat to relax and unwind and a fabulous introduction to the Maldives.
Our Opinion
Makanudu is simple and natural with very few guests on the island at any one time. This is a lovely retreat and pure Maldives bliss without the bling! This is a bit like it’s sister island Biyadhoo, if you felt the need to whip out that clipboard you may find issues. And exactly like Biyadhoo, that would be missing the whole of this island which has been very much left alone to age gracefully. This island perhaps typifies what the Maldives was originally all about, gorgeous & natural, friendly & inviting.
Fabulous snorkelling is icing on the cake.

Makunudu is located in the North Male atoll approximately 50 minutes by speedboat from the airport.
