Our Opinion
Olhuveli is swimming and snorkeling paradise with its big lagoon plus it has a mile of powdery soft sand.
Location
Olhuveli is located in the South Male Atoll, speedboat transfers take about 45 minutes.
Accommodation
Olhuveli has 164 rooms and water villas each with air-conditioning, minibar, tea/coffee facilities, TV and balcony or terrace.
Deluxe Rooms – Beach fronted and have a terrace or balcony overlooking the beach and the lagoon. These are two storey blocks of four rooms.
Beach Villas – Individually appointed facing prime beach front. The en-suite bathroom is large with an open-air enclosed courtyard for maximum privacy, featuring a large sala for an afternoon siesta.
Deluxe Water Villa – With an extended deck overlooking the lagoon with chaise lounges for private sunbathing, and a swim-up platform, which provides direct access to the lagoon via private stairs.
Jacuzzi Water Villa – Provide the same facilities as in the Deluxe Water Villas. A Jacuzzi takes pride of place in the large private sundeck, which extends out over the lagoon.
Honeymoon Water Villas Discover island life at its fullest in these luxurious Villas each of which offers the same amenities as that in the Jacuzzi Water Villa. In addition these villas come with a separate living room with glass paneling on three sides offering a panoramic view. The large sundeck feature a sauna in addition to an open air Jacuzzi.
Restaurants & Bars
Sunset Restaurant – The main restaurant. This is one of the largest over-water restaurants in the Maldives, it offers Italian, Chinese, South East Asian, and Mediterranean cuisines.
Lagoon Restaurant – For guests who find getting away from the beach impossible, our Lagoon restaurant sits right on the beach with ample open decking and overlooking the beautiful beach and lagoon.
The Four Spices – Perfect for fine a carte dining and ideal to celebrate a special occasion. Olhuveli staff are on hand to guide you through the bespoke menu and match wines with dishes. This is Asian food at its finest with highlights on Japanese, Indian, Thai and Maldivian flavours. Indoor or outdoor seating is available
Island Pizza – Next to the main pool, the Island Pizza offers a selection of delectable pizzas made out of fresh and seasonal blend of ingredients and includes local seafood, Asian, Mediterranean and Western flavours to your taste. The menu also includes an array of deli-style sandwiches and burgers that are perfect for a light lunch or snack in between meals.
Dhoni Bar – Offering exotic alcoholic fruit cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks such as smoothies along with its B.B.Q Grille offering snack and ice cream all through the day.
Lagoon Bar – the main bar on the island housing our weekly schedule of entertainment
Sunrise Bar – offers the perfect location in which to catch the sunrise and to spend a lazy day sunbathing around the pool.
