Rocky’s Boutique Resort
Rocky’s Boutique Resort is a private and secluded resort situated on the beach, with unparalleled views of the Gulf of Thailand.
Rocky’s has three secluded beaches enclosed by large outcrops of granite rocks which form idyllic sheltered coves. The seawater is crystal clear with beautiful corals and tropical fish ideal for snorkeling. Plus there are 2 swimming pools, one along the beachfront, one in the upper garden, each with a large deck area where you can sit and relax, order a poolside snack or cocktail.
Our Opinion
Rocky’s has a one to one staff to guest ratio to provide excellent service. If you are ‘review reader’ you will see this property gets consistently excellent reviews. It is small enough to provide that boutique experience where service plays an important role, but big enough to offer a good range of facilities. It is also a very pretty resort and always very well kept.
Location
The bright lights, bars and night life of Lamai Beach are less than five minutes drive away or a short walk, and popular Chaweng Beach with it’s colourful array of shops, bars and restaurants, is a 15 minute drive.
Accommodation
Rocky’s Boutique Resort features 47 rooms and 3 private pool villas each unique and individually designed with all the modern comforts. Unlike other Koh Samui bungalows resorts, Rocky’s bungalows and villas are well spaced to offer a degree of privacy not available elsewhere. All our rooms have been recently refurbished and decorated.
Rooms come with a queen sized bed, a day bed, teak furnishings and individually crafted artworks from Chaing Mai, air-conditioning, electronic safe, ceiling fan, hot shower, minibar, TV/DVD, Telephone, Tea & Coffee making facilities and a spacious bathroom and balcony.
Room types:
The Deluxe Gardenview – beautifully decorated room overlooking the lush tropical gardens. The rooms have easy access to all resort facilities and are only 30 metres from the Beach.
The Deluxe Garden Pool View Rooms – a new addition to Rocky’s. These offer direct access to the garden pool.
Deluxe Jr. Suite Oceanview – these have King Size Beds and some s are set higher up the hill, perfect for privacy. Others are set closer to the pool area and restaurant, perfect for the elderly or those with smaller children. There are also some available with adjoining doors.
Jr. Suite Beachfront rooms are situated directly on the Beachfront, only meters away from the ocean. These Suites are unique on Samui due to their close proximity to the beach coupled with the privacy and seclusion.
Deluxe Beachfront Suite – situated directly on the pinnacle between two of our four private beaches, and has gorgeous views of the ocean from its spacious balcony.
Family Beachfront Rooms – beachfront room designed with families in mind or two couples wishing to share their holiday together. This cottage has 2 bedrooms, each with its own private access, bathroom, A/C and facilities. A shared balcony just meters from the water edge is perfect for relaxing, reading or sharing valuable holiday time together. The balcony is just 5 metres from the water’s edge!
Restaurants and Bars
The Dining Room – Rocky’s signature fine dining restaurant, ‘the dining room’ features the exceptional cuisine of award-winning chef Aziz Awang. Located directly on the beachfront, the restaurant comes aglow in the evenings with soft candle-light and beautiful Thai artwork. Dining is available in the open air restaurant, or outside on the rocks overlooking the sea.
The Bistro – Rocky’s casual dining restaurant, ‘The Bistro’ features an outdoor show kitchen with a state of the art imported Italian stove and grill. The menu is contemporary Mediterranean and Thai, including char-grilled Salmon, Cajun Tiger Prawns, Australian Lamb cutlet, and all of the Thai favorites, presented with an graceful touch. The restaurant is elegant and casual and features a modern Thai ambience. Seating is available inside or poolside.
