Velidhu
Veludhu is a simple and natural island offering a natural Maldives experience. There are 100 bungalows including beach bungalows circling the island hemming the powdery white beaches. The island has a great house reef and watersports, a variety of cuisine is available in the restaurant.
Our Opinion
This is a simple natural island. It is perfect for those wanting a natural Maldivian retreat on a picture-perfect island. The house reef is great, and the atmosphere laid back. Much like Biyadhoo but bungalows instead of room blocks.
Location
Velidhu is located in the North Ari Atoll approximately 80 km away from Male, just 20 minutes by seaplane or 90 minutes by speedboat.
Accommodation
Velidhu has 100 bungalows, circular in shape with thatched roofs. Each bungalow is air-conditioned with ceiling fans, a mini bar, and either queen sized or king sized beds.
Room types:
Beach Bungalows are single story structures located beside the beach. These rooms open out to the garden area with lush palm trees and pristine footpaths leading the way to the beach.
Water Bungalows – 800 square feet with a picturesque view of the sea and the surrounding area.
Water villas with a private Jacuzzi – there are only 4 of these so they are on request.
Restaurants and Bars
Iruara Restaurant – offers a wide range of delicious food’s from around the globe with international theme nights.
Light House Bar – the ideal place to watch the work go by while sipping a favourite drink from a wide variety of aperitifs and beverages that are on the menu. Every night there is an entertainment and activities at the Light House Bar ranging from Bingo nights, acrobatic shot to DJ nights and many more
