On the eve of the first anniversary of Monarch’s closure, Northern-Europe based Primera Air has ceased operations.
The airline is thought to have been struggling for a number of years and despite an ambitious launch of a series trans-Atlantic flights to USA and Canada launching in 2017, their fate has recently been met.
Thousands of customers travelling on Primera tickets have been left stranded in North America (Washington and New York mostly) and the Mediterranean, with other airlines offering reduced repatriation rates to get passengers back home.
